Catalina Zaldana holds a degree in Economics, an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, an Insurance Agent License, and an Enrolled Agent Certification (authorized by the IRS). These credentials have allowed her to focus her career on representing clients before the IRS and providing them with tax debt resolution and planning services. This role requires a deep understanding not only of tax laws but also of the specific realities and challenges each client faces. Her work consists of guiding small and medium-sized business owners in meeting their tax obligations and optimizing their financial outcomes. For her, each case is an opportunity to equip clients with the necessary tools to grow and succeed. Catalina believes that her work demands a high level of commitment, precision, and genuine empathy for the success of others.
Her entrepreneurial journey began at the young age of 24, inspired by a family of business owners who instilled in her fundamental values like hard work, independence, and dedication. From an early age, Catalina observed how passion and commitment were the foundation of success in her family’s businesses, which led her to develop a deep respect and appreciation for the world of entrepreneurship. This early exposure taught her that behind every achievement lies a process of constant growth and learning, one that requires discipline, patience, and long-term vision.
After years of experience in the financial field, Catalina founded Bilingual Consulting, a company with a clear and ambitious mission: to provide specialized financial advisory services in taxes and accounting to small and medium-sized business owners in the Latino community in the United States. This decision, which she describes as her "life’s purpose," focuses on supporting Latino entrepreneurs in fulfilling their tax obligations, optimizing their financial results, and guiding them toward sustainable growth in a competitive market.
Aware of the challenges that many of these entrepreneurs face, especially those who are new to the country or for whom English is a second language, Catalina has dedicated her efforts to providing practical guidance and tools that facilitate the path to success. Her commitment goes beyond financial services; she seeks to be a trusted ally for her clients, someone they can rely on to move forward with confidence and thrive in the United States.
Catalina serves on the board of directors for the HBC Chamber of Commerce and contributes her expertise as treasurer for organizations such as Emprendedoras Latinas in Indiana and Sadco-Society of Friends of Colombia.
